Deathwatch by Robb White (Dell Publishing Co, 1972)

            Mrs. Moen I’d like you to meet Ben, a local young man, who is working as an Arizona mountain trail guide.   He is working extra hard, to earn additional money for another semester of college.   While guiding Madac, another bighorn hunter, through the Arizona Mountainside, Ben’s once routine day turns deadly.  Armed with a .358 magnum rifle, Madac switches his target from bighorn to Ben.  When a so-called accident occurs, Ben, a righteous and intelligent young man, tries to do the right thing by reporting it.  He is then forced into running, and fighting for his life.  I marvel at Ben’s ability to remain humble, yet still accomplish extraordinary deeds; all while expecting no recognition.   I am certain you will enjoy following Ben in his action packed survival story.
